National Night out is a nation-wide inititive August 3, 2010 that promotes neighborhoods, police-community partnerships and the fight against crime and drugs. Residents are encouraged to have an event on their block for National Night Out to promote community and keep streets safer. Events include activities ranging from grill outs  to music to games to visits from firefighters and policemen.
