Events
The following events allow 17th Ward residents the chance to meet, learn about their community and honor the work of community volunteers and leaders.
17th Ward City Talk
Get to know your neighbors and learn what's happening in the community at a new bar or restaurant in the 17th Ward. The next City Talk will take place Monday August 23, 2010 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Sasha's on Shaw (4065 Shaw). City Talk will feature Brent Crittenden of UIC and CDO who will be presenting the upcoming Green Redevelopment project for the 4200 McRee block in Botanical Heights.
Grove Fest 2010
Grove Fest, an annual neighborhood street festival located in the Grove district on Manchester, will take place on September 25 from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. The event will feature live music, live art, local food and drink, hip-hop skaters, Arch Rival Roller girls, and much more.
